A district of Arles 18 km south of the town on the road to Port-Saint-Louis, crossed by the Arles-Bouc canal and the Vigueirat canal, near the Rhône.
History
A Roman staging post, the site had a tower, the Tour d’Enseric, now gone, on whose site the church was built. It served as a signal on the Fossae Marianae canal, dug in 103 BC so that galleys could sail up to Arles.
