Is the Discover the Camargue app available?
Not yet. It is being prepared for the App Store, on iPhone. Leave your address on the app page to be notified at launch.
Does the map work offline?
Yes: the delta map downloads once, over Wi-Fi for instance, then works with no signal, which matters in the marshes.
Can you enter the national reserve?
Access is forbidden across the whole reserve, except on the sea dyke and the beach outside the dunes. The full rules are on the Practical page.
Which languages?
French, English, German, Spanish and Italian. This website is in French and English.
Does the app use my location?
It uses it to show you on the map and measure distances, without storing it.
Where does the information come from?
Each page lists its sources: Wikipedia, the SNPN (national nature protection society), tourist offices, OpenStreetMap. Photos come from Wikimedia Commons, with author and licence.
Is this guide linked to the regional park or the reserve?
No. It is an independent guide published by Immersion Totale, with no link to the managers of the Camargue’s natural areas.
