A Gard commune between the Costières and the Petite Camargue. Its inhabitants are called Beauvoisinois.
History
The oldest human traces date back to the Epipalaeolithic (10,000 to 9,000 BC): at the Plaisir site, excavated in 1981-1982, tools and the remains of seven or eight individuals were found.
