A hamlet of Arles 16 km west of the town, on the D570 between Arles and Saintes-Maries; the D37 also links it to Saint-Gilles and the Vaccarès. In Provençal, albaron means ’inn’.
History
A castle is recorded here as early as 1063; its guard was shared between the Count of Arles and the provost of the chapter. By 1323 it was already in ruins.
